Damage Resistance is an effect that reduces damage taken from certain sources of damage or damage types.
Multiplicative Damage Resistances[]
The following is a list of damage bonuses that can be affected by Damage Resistance. These can appear actively or passively and can affect both base and buffed values. Resistances to these damage bonuses are applied multiplicatively.
An effect that negates certain damage bonuses is assumed to have 100% resistance. Thus, even if buffs to those damage bonuses are active, a unit or enemy with said Damage Resistance effects will take the same damage as if its foe did not have the buffs active.
Critical Resistance[]
Critical Resistance reduces the critical bonuses of the damage taken from a unit or enemy, including critical rate and critical damage.
Elemental Resistance[]
Elemental Resistance reduces the elemental damage bonuses of the damage taken from a unit or enemy.
Spark Resistance[]
Spark Resistance reduces the spark damage bonuses of the damage taken from a unit or enemy.

Reason: Max HP Resistance, Normal Attack Resistance, and DOT Resistance are currently unreleased. Information may be subject to change. |
The following is a list of damage types that modify the damage taken from an entire attack or skill. Similar to Critical, Elemental, and Spark Resistance, these can appear actively or passively. Resistances to these damage types are applied multiplicatively. Negative resistance values will cause affected units or enemies to take more damage from their respective damage types.
Max HP Resistance[]
Max HP Resistance modifies the damage taken from attacks or skills with Proportional Damage.
AOE Resistance[]
AOE Resistance (short for "Area of Effect Resistance") modifies the damage taken from attacks or skills that target all enemies. This also affects all attacks that come from a skill that has an AoE attack, including ST attacks.
For example, Wildblood Tarok's SBB is affected by AOE Resistance because it contains an AoE attack. As a result, both Tarok's AoE and ST attacks are affected by AOE Resistance.
TGT Resistance[]
TGT Resistance (short for "Target Resistance") modifies the damage taken from attacks or skills that target a single enemy. This also affects all attacks that come from a skill that has an ST attack.
For example, Wildblood Tarok's BB is affected by TGT Resistance because it only contains ST attacks. As a result, both of Tarok's ST attacks are affected by TGT Resistance.
DOT Resistance[]
DOT Resistance modifies the damage taken from DoT.
Normal Attack Resistance[]
Normal Attack Resistance modifies the damage taken from normal attacks.
Tips[]
- Critical Damage Negation is recommended for content that has enemies buffed with Critical Damage Boost like The Resurrected Flame
- EWD null is recommended for content where enemies change their elements frequently or multiple element enemies are present like The Pious Emperor and The Holy Emperor
