Unit Lore
Following the utter destruction of Athensphere at the hands of Gazia during the Augmentation Wars, the realm was presumed shattered forever, and the fate of the brave demigods who fought to the bitter end for their home cast into oblivion. However, some scholars believe that their valiant deeds earned them the right to enter the everlasting paradise of their old gods, where their forms were purged of all mechanical influences.

A goliath in the war, Deimos Thunderborn was well-known as an engine of destruction against Gazia's Iron Army. He waded deep into enemy territory, and every blow from Forgebreaker shattered the earth with a resounding clap of thunder. Following the catastrophic conclusion of the war, the old gods commended his noble spirit, and thus restored Deimos to his original form.

Despite his unrivalled strength and imposing stature, Deimos valued at his very core peace and harmony above all. A reticent demigod of few words, he preferred solitude in the mountains of his birth, honing his metalcraft as tribute to his progenitors. Pleased with his piety, the old gods favored him as the extension of their material presence. The same great spirits he venerated while in his mortal shell are now attributed to him—embodied within the roaring visage of the noble lion cresting the hammer of the gods that he now wields.

Now and forever in the paradise of the Golden City, Deimos is revered as a paragon of might—not just in body, but in heart, for the strong defend their allies through the conviction of their deeds, not the strength of their steel.
