Music: "Lone Strength"

- The invaders swept quickly through the North, devouring every Fae that was unfortunate enough to be in their path.
- Spilling forth into the Central regions of the Kingdoms of Man, defenders raised arms to no avail against their otherworldly assailants.
- With casualties mounting on both sides, the humans scrambled for any sort of contact with the elusive Fae, seeking strength in numbers.
- Left without a choice, Starsage Zeruiah, guardian of the Vale, entered into alliance with the human Kingdoms.
- Zeruiah: Know this, leader of Man. Faefire belongs to the realm of the divine, and was never meant for mortal hands.
- Zeruiah: I know very well what the soul of mankind is like.
- Zeruiah: Not only has your kind embroiled in tumultuous affairs with mine..
- Zeruiah: You war amongst yourselves, each seeking to subjugate the other.
- Zeruiah: You humans...are inherently destructive.
- Baelfyr: Of that I'm keenly aware. After all, conflict is all I knew growing up.
- Baelfyr: But it would hardly be fair to blame sons for the sins of their fathers, yes?
- Baelfyr: In times of strife, we should endeavor to stand as one against a common enemy.
- Zeruiah: You speak with confidence, human.
- Zeruiah: Confidence that both reassures and unsettles me, if I am to be honest.
- Zeruiah: However, as we both know, we are running out of time and options.
- Zeruiah: Baelfyr of the Kingdoms. I, Zeruiah, bestow upon you the gift of Faefire.
- Zeruiah: Use this power wisely. I await good tidings.
- Baelfyr: Certainly, great Starsage.
- Baelfyr: I shall see to it personally.

- Zeruiah: ......
- Zeruiah: I suppose there is little point in worrying over it now.
- Zeruiah: I can only pray that our combined strength is enough to protect this world.
- Zeruiah: Perhaps it is ever our fate to cross paths again and again with outsiders.
- The Starsage reaches into a pouch and retrieves an intricately carved silver necklace, grasping it tightly in her hands.
- Zeruiah: Eirwen. If only all humans shared your innocence, pure as the snowfields I found you in.
- Zeruiah: If only you were still here with me.
- A terrible shriek pierces through the air.
- Zeruiah: Such dissonance. As if all invaders were joined by this hateful sound!
- Zeruiah: Be it goblin hordes or this plague of dark insects...
- Zeruiah: This land has been marred, tainted by your very presence.
- Zeruiah: Begone from my sight!
