Unit Lore
Deep within the frigid forests of the Frozen Mountains, the Northern Isengrim tribe of wulfs roam their snowy home in service and protection of the divine spirit known as Forest Mother. Appearing as little more than children with wolfish features, these proud warriors take their legacy seriously, for they are the descendants of the White Wulf God, Fenrir. As such, it is a tribal tradition for even young pups to undertake hunts on their own, to better prove their might and eligibility to become the next White Wulf of their tribe—a title befitting only the most heroic warrior of a hundred years. Now, the time has come for one stout-hearted pup to shine. Though only a juvenile, nothing scares the brave wulf Faelan; not the bitter cold of the endless blizzard, nor the howling snowstorms that threaten to lay great pines low. No, she will hunt the beast of the frozen lake and claim its head, and surely the village will recognize her as the next White Wulf! Armed with her fishing rod and her hand-carved hook, the young pup heads off for the hunt of her lifetime, unaware of what fate had in store for her that day. After all, no one sets out expecting to deal with very different sorts of beasts in a decidedly un-snowy locale. Who would have thought that strange, shimmering portal was more than a curiosity and would take her to a dense jungle with abundant—and delicious—prey? Nevertheless, the beast in the frozen lake back home could certainly wait in its silty slumber. For now, there was the matter of getting home—along with a strange, snivelling little cat-girl with horns she'd stumbled upon...
