Non-Lethal Proportional Damage is damage from an attack that deals damage equal to a portion of an enemy’s max HP. This damage can be reduced with any type of mitigation or guarding; otherwise, proportional damage cannot be reduced nor increased by any other means, including Def buffs and damage buffs. Unlike other forms of Proportional Damage, Non-Lethal Proportional Damage can never kill a unit or enemy, causing them to reach a minimum of 1 HP if any subsequent damage would otherwise kill them.
In the case of proportional damage being randomized between two values, the proportional value will always be an integer.
There are different variants that include Non-Lethal Proportional Damage, including attacks that have proportional damage in addition to an attack, attacks that have either proportional damage or an attack, and attacks that deal only proportional damage.
Non-Lethal Proportional Damage is one of three types of Proportional Damage. Unlike its normal variant, Non-Lethal Proportional Damage does not appear on any unit that the player can normally obtain and is instead exclusive on enemy skills.
Example[]
- An enemy with 1,000,000 HP hit by an attack that deals 999% of the enemy’s max HP will always deal 9,990,000 damage, assuming no mitigation buff is active. Due to the damage being non-lethal, the enemy will never reach 0 HP as a result of being hit by this attack.
